Hybrid Puzzle: The audio will tell you where each of the pieces on the board are, then read a series of moves from that position. When prompted, try to identify the best next move.

PGN for today's exercise:

  1. Rh5 Be5 2. Rxd5 cxd5 3. Rxe5 fxe5 4. g5 d4 { What is the best move for White? } *

And the answer is...

  1. Ke4, 5. Ke2, stopping the Black pawns before pushing their own.
  2. g6 would be bad due to 5... d3 6. g7 e4+ 7. Kxf4 d2 8. g8=Q d1=Q and the game will probably end in a draw.
