🧠 The Scotch, Tape Variation (Illegal Move Exercise)

Illegal Move Exercise: The audio will lead you through a series of moves from the beginning of a game. Somewhere in there, a player will make an illegal move but the game will continue anyway. Find the illegal move.

  1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 Nxd4 4. Nxd4 exd4 5. Qxd4 Nf6 6. Qe5+ Be7 7. Bc4 Ng4 8. Qxf7# 1-0

And the answer is...
The move Qxf7# is illegal as the White Queen cannot reach the f7 square.
